Astroparticle Physics

Our group is focused on processing data from astroparticle experiments using modern computing techniques, including machine learning and deep neural networks.

We are currently working on the following three projects:

  • Analysis of archival KASCADE-Grande data using machine learning.
  • Developing sophisticated signal-processing techniques based on an autoencoder for a radio detector of air showers.
  • Development and deployment of Tunka-Rex Virtual Observatory, a pilot project that implements the FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse) principles for cosmic-ray radio detector data.

We will present the first results at the upcoming ICRC2021 conference.
