Mobile Robot Algorithms Laboratory

Winter mini-degree program in STEM

January 10 — January 25, 2019

JetBrains Research and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology invite senior high school students and first-year university students to join the Winter Mini-Degree Program in STEM.

About the program

The goal of the program is to help talented students build development skills in the fields of STEM and robotics. The program will begin with theoretical classes. During two weeks, the students will have a chance to immerse themselves into several STEM disciplines, including areas of mathematics, programming, computer architecture, and ROS robot development. Lectures will be followed by a small individual or team project for the students to practice what they have learned. At the end of the program, the learners will defend their projects. Successful students will receive a certificate on completing the program.

Courses will be led by senior students from MIT and Russian universities. The supervisor of the program is Kirill Krinkin, Head of the Mobile Robot Algorithms Laboratory at JetBrains Research and Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Applications at Saint-Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”.

The program is part of the Global Teaching Labs project, which supports joint training of school and university students around the world.
